REDWOOD CITY, FEBRUARY 22, 2006 - GlobalWare Solutions (GWS) announced today that they will host an Open House at its Redwood City, CA location on Thursday, March 2nd from 4pm to 7 pm. Titled "Supply Chain @ Your Service," the event will reveal how global companies are managing key supply chain challenges. Featured speakers from leading logistics providers will lead informal briefings on topics such as:

  • International Export Compliance & Tariffs
  • IP Protection, Product Activation, & E-Licensing
  • E-Commerce Best Practices
  • Supply Chain Management

Featured Speakers:

Eric Holstege, Chief Technology Officer, GWS
Ray Brown – World Tariff Expert, Federal Express

“Any supply chain vendor can deliver the initial product; GlobalWare Solutions is the only end-to-end provider who can manage the physical product as well as the complex entitlements for the ongoing stream of support and services,” said Eric Holstege, CTO at GWS.

The industry is changing and Supply Chain Management is no longer just about improving logistics. More than half the world’s software is unlicensed, integrating E-Commerce into your overall supply chain is complex, and there are constant changes in international tariffs and export compliance. "Supply Chain @ Your Service is a local, relaxed event that is both fun and educational," said Dan Burmeister, Vice President of Business Development at GlobalWare Solutions. “Our goal is to present a blended supply chain that captures the recurring revenue from post-sale services, support and updates.”

GWS provides an in depth supply chain analysis to uncover opportunities to maximize efficiency. GlobalWare focuses on developing efficient programs in conjunction with their customers. “When you’re a supply chain vendor in the [Silicon] Valley, you learn to do things differently. You learn to evolve the supply chain to meet the specific needs of your high-tech clients…to put both physical and digital products into one streamlined value chain,” said Don McNamee, VP of E-Business at GlobalWare Solutions.

Attendance at Supply Chain @ Your Service is by invitation only. To request an invitation contact openhouse@gwsmail.com by February 25, 2006.
