Our Heritage
GlobalWare Solutions (GWS) is a privately held global corporation with  operational facilities in North America, Europe and Asia. Through a series of strategic mergers, GWS consolidated expertise from various cutting-edge technologies and operations to form a global footprint, providing the most comprehensive supply chain offering to the market.
Four companies came together, creating the core of GlobalWare Solutions: ZBR Publications, Bindco, and ReleaseNow.com in the United States, with Mainstream International, Ltd providing a presence in Asia.
ZBR Publications was established in 1978, and quickly became the premier print and fulfillment house in the Eastern United States. Over the years, ZBR became a leader in the areas of electronic prepress, file transfer automated imposition and print-on-demand.
Bindco was established in 1981 and emerged as a similar powerhouse for professional print and fulfillment needs. Based out of Redwood City, in the heart of Silicon Valley, Bindco created strong business alliances with emerging software publishers.
ReleaseNow.com, established in 1994, brought eBusiness expertise to the offering through their PowerCommerce platform including entitlement, licensing, digital rights management (DRM) and eCommerce.
To further position the company as a global leader in supply chain management, Globalware Solutions was formed from these three organizations in 2000. Merging the operations of ZBR, Bindco and ReleaseNow.com brought together best practices in print and process solutions. With additional expansion into Amsterdam, Ireland and Asia, GlobalWare Solutions cemented its position as the global leader in the burgeoning end-to-end supply chain management space.
